Referrals to Other Local Farms when We're Out of Stock!

On the heels of an amazing and successful 2024 comes the challenge of being able to scale appropriately for demand.  I frequently get emails and questions regarding when we'll be restocked on pork, chicken, or beef, especially the popular cuts.  The answer is actually very frequently pointing customers towards other local farms that have been established much longer than we have.  This post is a list of local farms who practice the same regenerative principles, feed the same corn and soy-free, non-GMO feed from the same local mill, and can stay in stock more frequently than we can.  This list is likely to grow and be updated from time to time, so check back!

Wise, Montague, and Cooke Counties

• Roman Heritage Farm - Sunset, TX - supplies pastured chicken, turkey (seasonal), pork, beef, lamb, and eggs, offers delivery

• Sweet Pasture Dairy & Creamery - Gainesville, Tx - supplies A2/A2 milk, chocolate milk, and yogurt - in stock for pick up at Christian Family Farm Store in Gainesville only

Half and Whole Beef and Pork

• Red River Dexters - Paris, Tx - supplies half and whole Dexter beef, grass-fed and finished, a thing we're just unable to do because we don't have the land to raise a lot of cattle
• Chapman C3 Cattle Company - Hico, Tx - supplies cuts, halves, and wholes, and ships nationwide, and also some of the most helpful ranching and marketing advice you can find!
• Rockin' P Farms - Sherman, Tx - supplies half and whole kunekune hogs, lard soap, candles, and lip balm (we love her soap and lip balm!) - all from the same breed of pigs we raise

Other Small Businesses

While these may not be farms, they are other small, local businesses that have helped our farm and have contributed in some way!  Show them some love!

• Happy Heart Haus - Decatur, Tx - supplies mixes, seasonings, jams, jellies, and other delights sourced from local farms (feeds our pigs their leftover fruit and veggie peelings!)
• Happy Harvest Kitchen - Sanger, Tx - soon to be launched in early 2025, Happy Heart Haus's spin-off business that supplies take-home meals, all locally sourced from farms and ranches like ours (AND... they will be making bone broth and rendered lard that we can sell to the public using our chicken and pork fat!)
• Big Little Farm - Fort Worth, Tx - our provider of organic fertilizer using fish emulsion, sea kelp, and molasses for our pastures, as well as uncharged biochar for our animals to eat
• A. Matt Tree Service - Haslet, Tx - provides tree trimming, stump grinding, and firewood, and our provider of mulch for our composting operations
• JW Naturals - Stephenville, Tx - provides healing tallow balms for your dogs, horses, and more, as well as body butters, and ships nationwide (her Mountain Joy is a must have!)
• Tangle Farm Handcrafted - Gainesville, Tx - we are in love with her cosmopolitan tallow soap and she has an awesome magnesium balm for sore muscles as well!  And she ships nationwide!
• Buck N' Bull Meatworx - Bowie, Tx - our butcher, who is not only fair priced, but honest - we get back exactly what we dropped off, and they make our delicious Dexter Beef Snack Stix!  (Yum!)  Plus, they give back to the ranchers by hosting various regenerative ranching workshops with guest speakers from all over the nation once in a while!
